Aug 12 2009 by Kaiya Marjoribanks, Stirling Observer Wednesday LITTLE Kicks, the fun football classes for pre-schoolers, are getting bigger. New programme Mega Kicks is designed for children aged five until their seventh birthday. It complements the Little Kicks “play not push” ethos and builds upon the experiences the children have gained previously. Spokesman Andrew Henderson said: “That’s not to say that children who have never attended Little Kicks are not welcome. We’re always delighted to welcome new faces and help children build their confidence.” Classes kick off at Cambusbarron on Sunday at 11.30am and at Braco on Wednesday at 4.15pm. Since its launch in 2002 Little Kicks has grown dramatically and classes are attended by more than 10,000 children a week in the UK. The programmes are specifically designed by qualified coaches and childcare specialists to provide children with a fun, positive introduction to sport. The Junior and Mighty classes for children aged two until their fifth birthday continue at Bridge of Allan, Braco, Cambusbarron, Dunblane and Tullibody, with new classes planned for the Falkirk area.
